It's designed to measure materials at a 45-degree angle, and the stock is fitted with a level, enabling you to measure both the angle and the horizontal plane simultaneously.

One of the unique features of this combination square is its removable stock, which can travel up and down the ruler by unscrewing the central screw. This allows for a variety of angles to be measured, enhancing the tool's versatility. The stock can also be completely replaced with a different one depending on the angle you're measuring.

In addition to its measuring capabilities, the Stanley Combination Square also includes a scribe. By unscrewing and pulling out the top screw, you can mark the areas you've measured, adding another layer of convenience to your work.
